Books to Buy

I was planning to buy a book but couldn't choose one.

Which on is better?

Game Modeling Using Low Polygon Techniques

Mastering the Art of Production with 3d Studio MAX 4

Ultimate Game Design: Building Game Worlds

Modeling a Character in 3DS Max

Model, Rig, Animate! With 3ds max 6

2D Artwork and 3D Modeling for Game Artists

Which book is good for a (little) experienced modeler but has very little idea on texturing, rigging and animating (that's me ).

i donna mate, it depends on what you wanna learn. though i would higly recommend Mastering the Art od Production. I hear from many that book is awesome.

Written by Michelle Busque (sorry i butchered the name ) and Jason Busby, creator of 3dbuZZ, (3D-Palace's sister site, i hope that will happen one day, the two combining efforts creating great content on great continents )

Art of production will take you though everything, from start to finish. and as the title implies will probably take you thought what it's like being in a production.

good luck mate, and let us know what one you bought, and why?

I agree with phrenzy84, that is a good book, I bought it quite some time ago and learned quite a bit. I'm not sure about the other books though.

I am more into game design/modeling and stuff and I want a book that focuses on this area. So books about games are in priority. I want to learn how to texture, rig and animate my models. If you know any book(s) that is not listed please give me the name of it that you think is what I am looking for.

And thanks for the replies guys.

There is a book called "Texturing and Painting" by Owen Demers, I'm not sure if the title is right, that I have seen highly recommended for learning how to texture models and scenes. It's one I think I'm going to look into when I get the money.

It sure will be good, but I am looking for books that cover low poly modeling, textureing, rigging and animating

I think I'll buy three books

Model, Rig, Animate! With 3ds max 6

Mastering the Art of Production with 3d Studio MAX 4

2D Artwork and 3D Modeling for Game Artists.

Since all of these cover the things I want to learn, and I read some good reviews on these.
