Cool underated animation plus free extra rant!

I just finnished watching an animated film called Titan AE. I remeber seeing the trailer when I was alot younger when it first came out and I think it was one of the things that got me into CG.

Its a traditional animation with CG elements but at the time the CG was amazing. It still looks pretty dam good and its a Don Bluth film so you would expect it to be pretty high quality. Just thought i would recomend it for anyone intested.

Incidently I had just finnished watching Arthur and the Invisibles and I absolutly love the CG in it, it all looked beatiful. Unfortunaly the film itself is aweful but if you watch it starting half way through with the sound off its pretty good.

Anyway Titan started a debate somewhere (cant remeber where) about fully CG films (pixar etc) being rubbish. What do you guys think? I know there is some crap out there but films like Monsters Inc and the Incredibles are bloodey amazing, at least in my oppinion.

Got it on DVD, top, top film. I really enjoy it! I also like the tansition between 2D/CG, you can tell but the seperate items look to fit very well.

I'm sure a lot of people said back in the day that Disney and everyone who started the cute little animal 2D cartoons were rubbish too. Now that it's being done all in 3D, people are saying the same thing, like, "What's with all the animal cgs?" or "Anyone tired of cute little animal movies?"

I think these same people forgot about EVERY SINGLE 2D MOVIE AND CARTOON back in the day, minus "Snow White" and all that stuff.

All in all, CG movies will be good and bad just like everything else thats either in 2D, Claymation or DIEHARD part 50...

So I just keep on watching what I think will interest me and don't watch what doesn't get me hopping.

Kick ass die hard 50! im so renting that!! haha It would make an awesome week having a Die Hard Marathon up to 50!

well said dreams! I think its human nature to not recognise things improving -- classical music and renacance art etc in alot of peoples hearts they are better than anything made today and i dont understand why. I still think the likes of Ryan Church and Feng Zhu are up there. As are Joe Satriani and Steve Vai (just oppinion mind you). It all seems rather odd to me

Crap im ranting again please someone stop me!
