My Showreel

Hello everyone.

I thought it was about time I got my finger out and put together a proper showreel. So here it is:

A couple of terms ago at fxphd.com they did a whole class on showreels, and they got the top recruiters from both Weta Digital and Animal Logic to sit down and tell us, once and for all, what makes a "good" showreel. I've tried to follow their guidelines as best I could.

Not too sure about the shaky footage outside of the house, but I suppose its good as it shows you can track even with footage that is shaky.

I recognise the jet bike from somewhere.

The special effects examples are brilliant, the helicopter shot rocks and ending it with the alein shooting is genius.

Supertom: Yeah, the footage outside the house is awful. I did it that way on purpose to show that I could track that kind of shot, since any monkey can track super-smooth high-def footage.

very good. I like the way you went from the picture on the monitor display to inside the action of the picture. the matchmoving was spot on. And I liked the ship from Stargate at the end of the demo.
