Saw this linked off Slashdot: Game On Emily is Not Real: The End of "Real" Actors?
If anyone goes and watches the movie, I'd like to hear your impressions. For me, the video was really good, but there is still something I did not like for the character. I'll pop in what I think is off a bit later after some others have chimed in.

The texture is the one that makes it look fake. A little more tweaking and it would have been more realistic. Even though Image Metrics looks promising in the near future.

darn you beat me to it. I just read this on digg and decided to post it.
The eyes where brilliant on this one as the character blinks a lot which something a lot of 3D characters dont do. The mouth looks like it still needed a lot of work but the article did say they dont expect to go past the uncanny valley till at least 2020.

I'll go ahead and throw in what I thought. I didn't want to bias anything. The skin looked ever so slightly off to me, but that could be poor lighting in a filmed human as well. What really did it was the mouth, though. I think it was that the tongue did not seem right in some of the words.
