| | | Dual Monitor Desk
I'm thinking about getting a new computer desk, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for desks that are good for a dual monitor set up or just any recommendations at all.
Printer shelf isn't needed, prefer keyboard and mouse to be at the same height.
Cheers.

I seriously just use a kitchen table - its got all the real estate you need and lots of leg room - anything else is just IKEA shite and not worth having. Go down to your local refuse tip and pick up a disgarded kitchen table - usually for £2.

I used to use a small kitchen table, but the father -in-law used to work at Motorola here in Phoenix, and gave me a modular 1980's factory floor style cubicle. Basically a huge desk with shelves and wall partitions.
it's ugly but it gets the job done.

I got one from Ikea, it was the higher end side. Not their normal low end computer table shit. Its huge, room for both my monitors, my printer on the right. Tones of mouse/keyboard room. My drink, and my bowl from yesterdays breakfast.
I found the goods, its right here. IKEA | Tables & desks | Desks | MIKAEL | Desk
The base table
as well the add on. IKEA | Tables & desks | Desks | MIKAEL | Add-on unit
The only downside, I can say is if your main monitor is to large (22inches or so) it may not fit in the center. However I have a 19inch main monitor with room to spare, and I have a 17inch crt sitting on the left in front of the racks for holding papers. Kind of off to the site a bit.
Its a great table and its fairly cheap, the computer just sits on the floor.

I got a desk from Staples. This one I Think And I bought the 60" One, I would recommend the 71" One. I have dual monitors, 5 speakers, PC Tower, Keyboard, Mouse, and Tablet on my Desk. There's room to still do homework, but not much. Also the 60" Desk with the PC shelf, and the filing cabinet doesn't really allow for a chair to fit under the desk. That's my $0.02

I thought i would add an extra question here as opposed to opening a new thread.
I just got a computer that supports dual monitors, but my problem is how things look on them. I have fiddeled with the brightness contrast gamma and everything but cant get them to look too similar. (a Texture will look brownish gray on one and dark gray on the other one. ) This adds a whole new twist on the alredy frustrating task of unwrapping and texturing. Anyone have any input on this one, i know its kind of an odd question.

Yeah, that has to do with the gamma of the monitor.
I went with two 22" ViewSonics that were the same model - so no difference.
You can use software to calibrate your monitor - it generally comes with some on a disc.
If not, try googling your make and model of monitor and the word gamma or app or software
