Well, home reasons meant I had a lot of free time and I was impressed by what 3dbuzz was doing. I had read an article in 3dworld in 2002 and been impressed that he was so organised in what he did via the site. I wanted to distribute a lot of tutorials, however 3d-palace at the time was terrible, no unified interface and no real way to control leeching at all either.
Wow, that takes me back. I read the article about 3dbuzz too, I'm pretty sure it was the June 2002 issue of 3Dworld it was in, it was the first issue I bought. I remeber finding this place soon after and can still vaugely remember what it looked like.
I think congratulations are in order, Cris, 3d-palace has grown up so much since then. Well done to the lot of ya and here's to the future |

cheers Gaz, yeah it was probably the July release issue because thats when I went there and regged up. As I recall it was a single page on the left hand side with a pictire of Jason and Angela and someone else surrounded by packs of disks. I think it was that picture that definately put me off the idea of sending out the disks free on CD WAAAAY too much work and expense.
On the wayback machine (use google) look up 3d-palace - should give you a few laughs |
