Talking Display problem!

Hi all,

it's been awhile since I had a Max question but that's only because I haven't touched it in a loooong time. So I decided to get back in the game and right off the bat I have a problem with how my polys display. Instead of being four sided they show up as 2 triangles. When I select the poly it selects the whole thing but I can't stand looking at it that way. If I set the driver to Direct 3D the problem disappears but I like using 2 sided materials on my geometry. Did I hit a key that might have caused this? Nothing else has changed on my system and I never had this problem before.

Thanks in advance,

Pete a.k.a. The Greek God

I had the same issue before, if you go into preferences then go to viewport, configure driver at the bottom, there is a tick box that says Display All Triangle Edges, make sure this is turned off, should do the trick.

Thanks for the reply Tom but I have that unchecked, I can't figure this out. I updated my drivers which didn't work and why should it, I don't know I'll have to live with it I guess!

Thanks again,

Pete

I meant to add that if I hit f2 the triangles disappear but of course my polys aren't shaded red when I select them.
