BackBurner on one computer

I have been reading that even though you may only have one comp it is still wise to setup a network render. It consumes less ram.

I am having one helluva time trying to figure out how to set this up just for my comp. Are there any tutorials around for it or does anyone have any experience with this.

I am having to render out a lot particle ani's and you guys know Scanline is a resource hog and I know you set it to low priority with the Backburner so you can still work while its rendering. So any help with this wold be greatly appreciated

[1] Start the BB Manager.
[2] Start the BB Server and make sure it is registered in the manager. If its not, check the settings of the server and manager.
[3] Load your scene in max, turn on Net Render and hit render.
[4] In the Net Render Dialog press on connect and hit submit. Repeat this step with all your scenes. I usually also turn on "Initially suspend" in the options so the rendering wont start until i added all scenes to the queue.
[5] Open up the BB Monitor to monitor your render queue and to start or stop your jobs.

Thats it basically. You can then turn down the priority for the net rendering to low in your task manager.
