My models must be really simple...max rarely crashes. Doesn't stop me from cussing though...I've heard my wife say things in Russian that I'm pretty sure are cuss words, so I mimick them...."Chort Suka!" (roll the r) |

Making 20 million poly mechs?
Most likely down to just using the basic tools over and over again, collapsing almost every stack and resetting the Xform of every piece when it's finished.
My last crash was when I used a Shell mod with 3 sets of Turbosmooth and 4 Edit Poly mods and when I almost finished the piece I did an undo and it all messed up and destroyed the piece as well as all the autobacks. So, cba leaving stacks, I just make a save before and after the collapse just so I can go back if needed.

I never learned to model with massive stacks, can't stand them... Always collapsing mine, we hired this guy to model some objects for us when we where tight on time with this project one time, and he had like 10 modifiers on every object with a primitive at the bottom, I was like wtf.. we're talking vases and stuff like that :|
