3ds max export problem

Hello all.

Does anybody know of any way I can export from 3ds max 2008 as a SAT or STEP file?

I have a customer that is using Inventor and needs to be able to import a max model, but i'm damned if I can figure out how to do this.....

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Mark

Ive no idea. The only viable solution I found was Download 3DS Import for Inventor - Buy 3D Studio 3DS file import add-in for Inventor

Unfortunalty this is not free.

I think Rainycat uses Autocad, so im sure he will know a better work around.

Cheers for the info Ragu.

I would have thought that with both pieces of software being made by Autodesk there would be a plug-in or something, but as I said I can't find anything.
