October Challenge - Scary Room

(To be spoken in your best Rod Serling voice)
"You awaken in a sweat. Was that a door slamming that woke you up? And then you see it in the corner of the room - a door. A door that wasnt there before! Maybe you are still dreaming .You slowly cross the room as quietly as possible. Your heartbeat is ringing in your ears. With a sense of dread you reach out and slowly turn the handle before cautiously looking inside. Your eyes widen and you stifle a cry. My god - the horror!. You have just entered the Scary Room."

The challenge - model and render a scary room

Maybe its a gory, horrific, spooky or creepily disturbing room, but it has to be scary!

It might be the room itself, the contents of the room or the occupants (if any) thats scary, but I want this room to give me nightmares!

All normal competition rules apply.

Competition start - 09:00 1st October
Competition ends - 23:59 31st October

The competition lasts 1 month - in that time you will present all of your concept drawings you make (if you make them) as well as presenting wips for each logistical part of your modelling. You may not use any pre-fabricated parts for your end piece.

You MAY use post effects to make it look awesome should you wish.
ANY 3d Application may be used - If your entry includes characters, Poser pre-fabriacted models are not allowed although you may import a mesh into Poser and use it to pose your mesh should you wish.
Any renderer is allowed.

Your completed entry should be at LEAST 800x600 res and posted on the last page of your entry thread. Include the name of your entry and your name in the thread title. All entry threads should be posted in the main competition forum

I have a question, if someone won or came in second that already had the first/second prize.

Are they stuck with it anyways, or could they even give it to someone else? Just wondering, as I have some ideas being tossed around my head.

I expect that you could choose a download set of equal value, but Cris will have to answer that one. Cris ?

Yeah thats the kind of thing. Basically anything mentioned in the brief (my original post) or anything in the two sticky threads near the top of the competition forum
