Damn it norton, I had a whole reply and norton decided that 3Dp was a malicious site and denied it.

Basically, i was saying i was set up on a guys computer who only used inverted controls near that roll up garage door and my K: D was like 3:50. Blur is one of the coolest studios i have visited.

Definitely gave me a nice example of the speed you need to get you job done in. Really it was a very informative and fun experience the whole time. That was One of the things that strengthened my ideas of pursuing 3d modeling.

Your guys' render farm, is amazing. Haha. How'd that thing go with the comic that Blur wanted to make into a full legnth film?

wow, talk about super thread hijacking.... to continue the trend, you're talking about either heavy metal or the goon. they're both still in development. things production studios take a long time to get going.

Thats what it was, i couldn't remember the name of the comic. It was Heavy Metal. When i shadowed it was only a few drawings in that "pitch" room. I cant believe how small of a world it is to meet someone else from Blur on a site i accidentally found whilst looking up mech animations on youtube. Talk about random.

If I can manage my time better, Ill see what I can throw together for this contest, after exams might be a great time, with all the downtime over winter break.

Dont forget everyone - we are playing for a fantastic prize here - the downloadable ED209 set. This is the latest and (arguably the) greatest release in the 3D-Palace line of training DVDs. It could be yours, and would keep you entertained and learning well into the new year. All you have to do is create a wintery scene. The very best entry for the December challenge walks away with the prize.

There are some excellent entries so far - check out the entry WIP threads in the main competition forum. But its not too late - you still have over 2 weeks to get an entry together. If you have some spare time coming up, why not put it to good use and give the December challenge a go

Matt
