hello!
I guess I´m the fist who comes up with some wip results, so here is one part of my winter scene.
its a sleigh... I hope you can make this out too =) I want to make some snow scene with this sleigh and some trees and maybe a ski hut in the background and a small river coming down from... the alps. I hope things will go the way I want them to, probably not, but we`ll see.
I´m afraid that I won´t find a way to avoid modelling a horse for my sleigh... maybe there will be a BIG tree hiding the horse =)
greets!
pheebs

That sounds like a lot of work, but I bet it willl be worth it when its done. Sounds like you are setting the bar high in this competition right from the get-go.
Really looking forward to seeing this scene develop.

true true, I hope I´ll be in time with my plans for this scene, especially when it comes to texturing (where I´m not that good at, at this time). I´m looking forward to see some other wips.

Make a 'Mech pull the sleigh...
Or a robot death dog from hell...

Or just a rocket engine attached to it, that would do the job too!

here`s an update for my scene.. the skihut and a tree (the unfinished parts of the tree will probably hidden by snow)
now I see several ways not to use a horse in this scene, nor a robot death dog from hell.

| | | textured sleigh
hi guys, I finished texturing my sleigh so far. Apart from some untidy parts I´m not sure that some textures really fit together. For example the older wood of the main parts and the glossy ones from the "runners".
what do you think?

That's a pretty nice texture. You have some nasty seems near the top of the backrest, but it 's a pretty nice texture all in all. May we see the texture sheet? Also, are you going to do a bump map for it?

thanks, the problem is the surface of the top of the back is a bit messed up so it was hard texturing that in a proper way. also the pillows are not clean yet on the top, I´ll fix that later. maybe I´ll create a bumb map, it depends on where I will place the sleigh in the scene. if its too far away from focus I thought I won´t need too much detail
here are some of texture sheets.. I´m just learning unwrapping uvws, but it goes better from time to time.
