Either knee is good, just add a patella to the simple one if you use that and it will look just as good. The character reminds me of something but I cant just put my finger on it right now.

Well, thanks for the constructive critics guys. Edge, I've been pondering on your idea. I'm going to see how that looks, and if I'm not pleased with it, I might just reverse the elbow joint I came up with and modify it a bit in the front. I've been thinking about the wall, there's something missing, but can't really put my finger on it. I would have put a medical locker next to the window, but seeing as there are no humans in the building, that is out of the question. The geosphere in the background is going to become a dome/human city with some skyscrappers in it. But first, I need something by which you can appreciate it's size.
Ajial, in my opinion, it is pretty much rubbish, but I have really high standards which I don't really stick to, or if I stick to them, I can make a small object slow down a pc considerably
Enough blabber, hit me with what you got!

Finally managed to make a decent looking knee joint. It's basically a ball and joint, but classier IMO  Still going to tweak, maybe add someting like a pivot axis, I'll see.

Soon, just have a little patience. A question for the competition organizer: are shaders/materials downloaded from sites allowed? I wish to know wether I need to muck around with a snow material or just download one and be more focused on the modeling/ texturing and lighting.

Starting to come together nicely, inprogress, knee joint looks much better. Seeing as you've got a pregnant robot a medical locker would fit in, just tailer it towards robots.

Thanks, guys. I'll try to come up with some locker designs and see what comes out, in the end.
I don't know, but it should be allowed to make textures out of photos. Today was mostly mucking around with materials for the glass and the snow. The old snow material looked more like some oily white substance. This new material looks more like snow. First time I used an SSS shader to make something. I guess I learnt something today. The geosphere is the dome for which I need to make really low poly sky scrappers. That'll be something.

Made the hand, but still need to reposition the thumb's palm support. I know I made the acces key on the bridge of the palm (I think it's called that) because there's going to be another detail there. What will it be? I have no idea.
