Cheers mallwine.

Heres my last update for the night. Uber tweakage just to tidy things up a tad. Looks much better now i think and going in right direction.

Bit more tweaking to do before moving on to the next stage. Just over 2.5 million polys for what its worth. Last render was 4 mins 11 which i dont think is bad???

Tsukiyono leaves a faint aroma of banana
Loving the additions here

Questions, for those rock walkways to the houses, did you just move the mesh underneath the grass mesh? Sort of curious how that was done

Thanks Tsukiyono.

Spot on mate. I turned soft selection on and made a selection in a straight line of verts from the house to the pavement. I turned up the falloff so i knew that the blue was more towards the outside. I tweaked the pinch and the bubble so it wasnt such a hard edge and then with the move tool just moved all the verts downward in one swoop. Had to render/re-render till it sank itself to just below the stones but not completely to give effect of the grass actually growing around them.

Fixed a few texture problems. Some were upside down Still not 100% happy with the roofs though so will keep tweaking until satisfied.

Added some cobbles and really like them but the texture doesnt flow how id like. Not sure why

Added a couple of hills which i intend to fence or just flower.

C+C welcome as always.

Your flowers aren't visible anymore above your new grass.

Yeah, gonna have to redo them i think. Because of the displacement on the ground they are no longer visible. All trial and error but learning all the time.

Just for fun and to confim the direction i hope to go in with this here is a sort of before and after shot of my intentions.

Before should have lots of colour and after will have the fog coming in draing all colour from the scene.

Att his point i have only messed in photoshop as i still havent learned how to do fog etc in max. Within photoshop its within my capabilities though

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Just a quickie to show that i have now added to the background some hills to hopefully give the scene a little bit more of a scenic look. Bought the clouds into the scenery to give a sense of depth. Hope it works

Also had the idea of just adding a small pond in one of the gardens. Maybe try to model a gnome to add to it.
