| | | October Challenge. - Results
I am so scared right now <sobs>. I cant even look at a TV with static . And I'm downing pro-plus like smarties - mustn't . fall . asleep ... zzzzzz. So something has really got me spooked, and it can only be the Scary Room challenge.
So its time to switch off the lights, take the phone off the hook and join me for the October challenge results
First things first - well done to everyone who entered. Quality was high all round.
In second place was a fantastic scene themed on that classic horror staple - the cloth-covered corpse. Well done to edge_666 - you have won second prize in the October challenge.
What I really liked about this entry was the simplicity - just the trolley and a few well-chosen props in the room. And the lighting added to the effect. Less is most definitely more here. The post effects work was also really good.
In first place we have a nightmarish vision from some dark institution. Well done to Kristopher_Lee - you have won first prize in the October challenge.
While it was technically excellent, I thought the use of such a surreal character to be a bold move and the result is visually striking and very distinctive. I wont be forgetting that character in a hurry.
So thanks to Kristopher_Lee for allowing us visit the darker recesses of his mind for a while.
Details of when and how you can collect your prizes will be sent to you shortly.
Big thanks also to all the people who supported the artists through this project.
Check the competition forum towards the end of November for the next 3D-Palace challenge.

Everyone give Matt a round of applause (or beer) its a lot of work putting together a competition as i've been there just had to many other commitments to keep it going at the time. (like working 7 weeks straight without one day off)
He did a great job, and deserves some Rep if you can't get him the beer. (I already gave him one)
