First Character Animation

I tried to embed this but I don't know how here. Sorry :confused =\

I think it turned out OK, but i would have done things completely differently if i should do it again.

Any feedback is welcome.

Not really character animation though is it?

They're just .bip files. Did you actually key anything?

Hah, your right. Sorry about the mix up there.

I did use .bip for the movements. By animation i just meant that i added a physique and adjusted the envelopes to a point where .bip files could be used without tearing my character apart.

ah, fair play.

Well in terms of the skinning the only part that stood out was the armpit deformation, should be relaxed a little as you can see where it bends at the moment. Rest looks alright though, good job

Thank you for that feedback. I, don't know how to really rig a character very well. I'm currently looking for some good tutorials so i can know my way around a biped and creating my own bone structures.

I really messed up on this character because he is very basic shapes and somehow i managed to run it up to 208,000 polys. That's where my comment about doing it differently came from. Although, i think it turned out good for only having 4 months of high school education in MAX.

I liked it. Definatley showed potential of being a good animator if you keep at it.

I find animating characters the hardest thing and would be pleased to get the results you got.

Hope to see another video soon from you but with even better movement.

Keep up the good work.
