Error message - what does it mean?

It's not affecting my functionality with the program at all (from what I can tell) but it's been showing up on the bottom of the screen lately:

Error: Cannot convert data of type int[] to type int.

I think it generally shows up when I'm converting a Sub-D model from standard to Polygon view.

this error means that it's trying to create an array of integers inside an int variable, meaning

it's trying to store a list of 5 4 9 1 to a variable that can only store one number.

This may be a problem with a script that created a regular "integer" variable that is also used as an "integer array" maya. You'd have to copy more of the script editor's feedback to tell what the real problem is. does it give the same problem when you restart maya?
