Slider

I'm working on the Ultimax Apocalypse tutorial right now. When Elliot makes an object, he goes into its parameters and is able to change certain ones, such as radius on a cylinder, with a slider. How do you do that? Is there a certain key I need to press to use a slider or is there a preference I need to change? This is the first time I've really used Maya, so I don't know anything about it.

All you need to do is select the attribute you want to change, then in the workspace middle drag and that is your virtual slider. You can adjust it's sensitivity using the three little icons above the channel box (click the 3rd from the right until it turns black - manipulators and then click the second from the right, increasing/decreasing the pie chart to adjust your sensitivity).

I should have watched more. He said later in the video it was the middle mouse button. I though I'd tried that one.
