translate screwed

i apply mirror joints, but the translate seems to be screwded. i had tried the option of behaviour and orientation.

click on the upside-down joint and go to skeleton>orient. i think that might fix it

hopefully tadpole's way works. if it doesn't, you can select the joint and then go into component mode and select the "?" button at the top and manually orient the axis.

how to go to component mode to fix manually???? tadpole's way didnt work.

under your main menus at the top in maya, theres an icon of a blue plane with an arrow on the bottom right, thats your "select by component type" button. "F8" on the keyboard toggles this mode on and off by default. anyways, a few more buttons over theres a gray "?" button for "select miscellaneous components". click on that and then you should be able to click on the orientation axis and rotate it.

thats the button, now click the question mark button about 8 buttons to the right of that one after that one is pressed

i successfully manually rotate it, but the translate still remain the same, still upside down.

is your manipulator set to world or local? because it should have worked and it should be correct for the local axis.
