Problems texturing a subdivision surface

I have a class where I have to design a new game interface. I decided to do a touch screen controller and to make it in Maya so I can make it into a subdivision surface. I started texturing it last night and had a problem. I select the faces I want the texture on, put a PSD onto a material in the Hypershader, and apply it. When I do, the texture on the model is jagged. Here is what it looks like:

That's how it looks on Maya. The texture itself doesn't look like that. It's nice and smooth.

I DID have to increase the tiling and move it around to get it to fit on the faces. The texture was too large when I put it on those faces. I'd appreciate some help as soon as possible. This project is due next week and I still have to animate it, if I can figure out how to render an animation in Maya. :\

It looks like it's forming around the meshsmooth. Try adding a cut or 2 in the middle of that area

It's not Meshsmoothed. It's a Subdivision Surface. I creased the edges of those faces and that helped a little, but not much.

Did you bevel the edges of the button-pad? If not, try inserting some edge loops around the "border" edges (the edges that make the texture go wonky). Hope this helps.

They aren't beveled, but I did crease them. I'm not sure, but I believe they have a partial crease.
