Rendering an Animation

How do I render an animation in Maya? I've got the animation set up and gone into Render Settings and told it the range to render and changed the file to an AVI, but I don't know how to actually render it. I can render a single frame, but I can't render the animation.

Go to the rendering menu set, then go to render, batch render.

Little tip dont render out to AVI, render it out as tiffs or any other format you like then use software such as adobe after effects or virtual dub which is free to compile it into an avi.

Do you know how to import a targa sequence into Virtual Dub? I've used it before, but I've never used it with targas.

Not sure about Targas as I always use IFF's just click open video file, select the first one and it will import all the others then set the compression settings to what ever you want and hit save as avi.
