Exclamation Strange error with smooth mesh preview

Hi,

since yesterday I'm having a big problem here. When I try to preview a smooth mesh on an object pressing the key "3" from keyboard it goes smooth but when I try to make it back to normal (pressing the key "1") I receive an error: // Error: Cannot find procedure "inputOnePressCMD". // And now I can't go back to the normal mode (without the smooth mesh preview)!

Any kind of help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Try deleting the workspace.mel from your projects folder. I'm not entirely certain that it's going to work. Hope this helps.

when ever Maya is being weird on you delete your prefs folder, always works here, you will loose your preferences e.g custom shelf, rendering presets, in a nut shell any thing custom.
D:\Documents and Settings\enter computer user name\My Documents\maya\your version number

or press 2 on your keyboard :P that will show smooth mesh preview and the regular unsmoothed model

I solved the problem but I spent all the morning to solve it. The problem was that a friend set me a script where the keys 1, 2 and 3 other functions have. So I couldn't execute the smooth mesh preview since it uses the same keys, what a stupid mistake...

In case somebody else is having problems like these, all you have to do is delete the files under:
Documents\maya\2008\prefs

Like: commandFieldContentSaved.mel, menuSetPrefs.mel and so on. In my case was the file userHotkeys.mel.

I hope it helps someone else...
