Question making a grandstand

Hi everyone,

I need to make a race track grandstand , something like this:

http://www.salemspeedway.com/GrandstandPhotoed.jpg

Does anybody know how to do that in maya? I found neither tutorials nor textures for this purpose...

Any kind of help is appreciated!

if you break it down, each seat is a long box, infront of each seat there is a place to put your feet, that is also a long box, underneith there would be poles and other supports holding it all together, so cylinders are your best bet there. as for the big building part, just make a big box about the right size, then start adding splits for the windows, add some cylinders on the roof for railing and bob's yet uncle

I look forward to seeing what you come up with

hi, maybe I didn't explain it right but the main problem is how to represent the public and not the form of the grandstand.

it doesnt need to be perfect but it should look like a grandstand with many people...

That is a question that has plagued the games industry for the past 10 years at least, if you find an answer, patent it.

First thing that came to mind was "PFLOW!", but that's not a valid answer since you use Maya. My second thought was "Special Duplicate": Make a low poly human shape in the position you want and then use the special duplicate to make enough people and duplicate them again (regular duplicate tis time) and move them to the place above. Rinse, wash, repeat.
