Question maya doesn't recognize textures on other PCs

hi,

i have a scene here in maya with some textures and it works fine but a friend of me tried to open the same scene on his computer (i sent him the textures files on the same folder) but maya doesnt recognize the textures!

does somebody know how do i export a scene with the textures, so that someone else can open the scene and see the textures?

please guys help, this is really important...

thanks!

tell him to reload the textures
it will be in a different place e.g your textures might be in : D:\Documents and Settings\sam\Desktop
but his desktop folder might be : D:\Documents and Settings\tadpole3159\Desktop

just reload them.
god hellkt try to work stuff out for your self...

of couse i know that i could reload the textures but i have a lot of textures on the scene so it wouldn't be nice for him to load all the 15 textures one by one but I found out a way to to that: you can put the textures on the root folder (where the .mb file is). you can also create a folder with the name imagesources and put the images there, then go to the project editor and set this folder as Image Source.

btw i guess this forum is suposed to be here so that people can help each other, even if you consider some questions obviously. so if you don't like to help other people out you don't need to...

Well as far as I know there's no limit for posts here or am I wrong? And yes I made 9 threads in weeks but my god what's the problem about that? I only see questions here in this forum and on almost all other 3d related forums I visit. That's just normal since many people have problems with 3d programs (because the complexity of those). I really can't understand why you got irritated, since you don't need to answer questions. You can just like ignore things you don't want to answer. It's just so simple! lol

Anyways I'm done with the project I was working so I won't have questions for the next days...
