ibrahimwahab.com - Online portfolio

http://ibrahimwahab.com/

I've been playing with my site recently ... the index page isn't very exciting at the moment, I am planning on improving that - click the image to go to the gallery page.

I would like to know your guys' opinions and suggestions regarding:

- Aesthetics
- Layout
- Navigation
- Speed (time it takes to go to other pages, loading images, etc)
- Any other type of work I should include in the actual portfolio
- Any other critique will be very useful also.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

You mention the following line in your CV:

A good understanding of unwrapping, character rigging, animation and rendering

You could do with some rigging/animation work in your gallery, as at the moment it's all images (unless I haven't spotted something!)

Nice site.

Only thing I can see is that the text where your links to gallery and CV are a bit small and hard to find. But that could just be me.

Layout is good.Love the mouse overs...nice touch.
Site loaded nice and fast no issues there.

hey...

Nice looking site.

I think it would look good (or maybe more TechnoGeek) if you had the number of poly's in the corner of some of the non-final renders (like the clay and/or low poly versions).

If you used Mental Ray or V-Ray for any of them, I'd put that on there, too.

I'm gonna give the site 4 out of five. Nice work, covering all facets of 3D modelling and some rendering. I like how the little thumbnail lead to one big render and several other thumbnails...offers lots of choice. What I don't like is the last three thumbnails are displayed differently for some reason. Great clean site nonetheless though.

I like the clean look but too bad you made it with tables and not divisions.
By the way: could you please share the render setup of that Ferrari. Maybe make a screenshot or a mini tutorial or something because I love the renders.

Thanks in advance.

Ya, I'm still pretty new at this web design thingy, there's a few things I wanted to try out like CSS and also divisions like you suggested. Someone also noted that there was a lack of colour, so I think I might throw in a dash of brown in their somewhere.

Also I'll try putting something together of the render setup I used for the ferrari, although It's pretty much the stuff I picked from VRay tutorials, with a few tweaks here and there and a good dose of photshop-ness.
