Unhappy Pivot Point Help

Hi,

I'm trying to alter the pivot point as in rotating the pivot, but for some reason, when I rotate the pivot gizmo, the circle with the 3 axis (I'm not sure what it is called) is not affected and it remains at its exact position, which means my pivot alteration does not have any effect on the object.

Could someone please provide any assistance on this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

it sounds like you just need to change your tool to show either local or gimbal. can't open max atm, but its near the top, theres a small dropdown that will say view or screen or something that is for your gizmo and which coordinate system it is using.
