| | | Video tutorials
Hello,
I'm new here and love what I see.
My first question I have to ask is about the video tutorials. I can not play the avi's on my pc. I have XP and this is the first time I've run into this problem. In windows media player, and kmplayer all I get is audio. Vlcplayer works on my laptop only. Today I purchased a book called 3dmax modeling bots,mechs and droids. It comes with a dvd which contains tutorials made by 3d palace. these videos will nor play either.
Other videos (avi's mov's and divx's}, play without any problems. Any ideas as what could be going on? Is there a codec I need?

is there anyway of viewing the vids other than buying the techsmith software, a while back I just downloaded the codec from this site, have formatted since then 
EDIT: My bad, found the codec in the download once I looked around,. /blushes
