3DS MAX : Aligning Tubes

Hi, currently I am modelling a dreadnought. While I have finished most part of it I am still having trouble modeling the tubes that are on it. Especially Near the Shoulder armour and the coffin ( :P).
I would be glad if some one would point me in the right direction on how to do this.

Edit : Pic uploaded. Enlarge to see the portion I highlighted

It's usually good measure to upload a picture anyways. Visual aid means better advice.

Well I would either spline some lines in and make them renderable, or use the hose modifier.
