welcome kredier. good choice on software. softimage is being more and more marginalized. while i love it, do yourself a favor and learn maya if you want to make a career out of this.

True Zerfalg. I hobbied on XSI but now have to use MAX at work and really miss wonderful XSI. Hardly anyone's heard of it in the UK. I was really upset when it got bought by Autotesco though.

XSI is better than MAX and MAYA but we're not supposed to say so.

Let us know if you get stuck.

no software is really better than the other (in terms of xsi/maya/max etc) its just what tends to be used more in the industry

im sure the fanboys will disagree though
