XSI 7.01 Released

The first release from Autodesk. You can get it here:

Softimage Products

I'm almost afraid to run it in case they've added a friggin viewport cube....

I saw a full-page ad for XSI in 3DWorld Magazine.
They kept talking about how Assassin's Creed was made with "Autodesk technology"...

I think Autodesk forgot to list the bugs they added in so they can release a new update. It sucks to hear this again, and I was on the edge of switching to XSI to get away from Autodesk.

On a completely unrelated topic, Autodesk killed Maya PLE and put a 30 day demo instead. /off topic

I wonder if that will lose them some client base?
The PLE was fantastic for students and what-not. No time limit - learn the app, get really good, and then get a job with it. At that point, either you or the company you work for will buy a full version.

id4 often steals bootlaces found at the side of the road
I'm thinking about downloading the trail version of XSI, is there a hinge of edge in XSI?
