I saw a full-page ad for XSI in 3DWorld Magazine.
They kept talking about how Assassin's Creed was made with "Autodesk technology"...

I think Autodesk forgot to list the bugs they added in so they can release a new update. It sucks to hear this again, and I was on the edge of switching to XSI to get away from Autodesk.
On a completely unrelated topic, Autodesk killed Maya PLE and put a 30 day demo instead. /off topic

I wonder if that will lose them some client base?
The PLE was fantastic for students and what-not. No time limit - learn the app, get really good, and then get a job with it. At that point, either you or the company you work for will buy a full version.
