xsi chess set help

Im stuck....during the first vid....he selects an edge ring....then does a sub divide edge operation....locks it.....then he hits something to switch to sub-d but I cant figure out how

sorry if i am totally wrong because i usually dont use xsi but i think that you can switch to sub-d mode with the plus key on the numeric keypad. dont know if that helps you.

That's right. Plus and Minus keys in the numeric pad can increase (or decrease) the sub-division level.

i think i made those tutorials while running keyview (but i may be mistaken). if i'm not mistaken, any key i hit shows up in the bottom right of the tutorial window.

Maybe you did, I don't remember neither. The problem is that if you produced the tutorial with low frames per second, we could miss some of them.

yes, i suppose that's true. i'll record the next one at 60 fps, don't worry. disclaimer: it's not likely that i'll record any more tutorials, much less one at 60 fps.

duh....it does have the key stokes....its kinda hard to watch whats going on and see the keys being pressed....i would have asked "hey what key is "add" anyway ...... i got a feeling xsi is gonna be a long hard road....
