this is what i did this morning, as yuo can probably see theres some pinching on the corners of the indents, once thats fixed im moving onto the unwrap, ill be using the uvlayout demo for this to see if its worth all the praise it gets |

I'm interested in hearing what you think of it. I hate unwrapping. I (sort of) have a handle on it, but it just takes soooo long.

its a success!!
uvlayout is really quick and easy to use once you get used to the shortcuts and the video tutorials on their website explain everything
there are a few errors where the turbosmooth is applied, ill probably re do those areas

textures are going to have to wait unfortunatly as my tablet really isnt working and its pissing me off
please feel free to donate to the "buy zero a wacom intuos3" fund, meanwhile im starting on the next model (expect an update soon!)

havnt got much done recently, thats mostly eve-o's fault though
ill give you a hug if you can guess what mech it is (ragu excluded
only viewport grabs for now as im pew pew'ing and dont want to lag out rendering
the chunky leg bit needs tweaking

ok so i got bored while gathering up ref's and inspiration for my next "big" project and i found this concept in my random ref's folder so i thought id through something down on the 3d canvas
and yes, ive finally got rid of the viewport cube
