Very nice model... Only a slight criticism but the textures look too 'large' if you know what I mean - in that I think the flaked paint areas would be smaller (especially on the boom).

Is it animateable? (is that a word?).

Yes its all set up, the tracks move and the hydrualics react depending on the position of the arms.

Looks good so far, Im not big on 3d yet but the like scoop at the end of the arm that picks teh stuff up looks kind of wierd, maybe put more detail on it.

i think it's a good a try but i think what alot of people
are doing at the moment is they're not getting enough
reference materials together before you take a project on.
before you even open max you should have as much pics
as you can get, it makes the modelling much easier.

The scoop just looks a bit small and the textures need scaling down, i like the modeling though.
have a look at this and you can see the points i'm making.

Not got round to tweaking the model & textures yet. I have just made a little animation test showing the tracks and arm in action. Its just under 900kb:

Its amazing.... wow... is just missing the driver.... but i think everthing else is ok.... just put it in a good place to dig.

what are going to do to put sound to the animation? its a comercial project? or just for practice?
