When creativity strikes at the wrong moment

Well here I was, creating a dome for a waterside pavillion. It's a pretty basic dome. Thin roof, fat round edges for the pillars. That kind of thing. When all of a sudden, I get a fit of creativity. Or maybe a cheeky streak

Either way, the end result was this. Who knows, maybe I'll actually go ahead and finish it. What do you guys think?

Reference images are good for preventing this kind of 'creativity fit' ;-) On the other hand, it looks really cool. :-) Hope you'll finish it.

Always always always follow the muse. That's what Save As... is good for. If you take care of the muse she will take care of you.

Well, some minor updates. Added shield panels that float above the main body, better defined the areas where gun ports and maneuvering systems go, spruced up the main gun mounts, hanger bays. Stuff like that.

And now something to show the scale

And lastly, the birthplace of the UFO.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions would be taken into consideration. Who knows? They might even end up inside.

More updates. This time, it's the new main guns of the UFO.

When in entrenched mode.

And in free track mode.

THAT is cool!

Never considered having different modes for turrents.

Are the guns all linked together so that you lift one gun, you lift them all?

I'm normally not a fan of 'melty' organic ships, but this looks very nice!
