Mars lander "Phoenix"

Hi guys.

I found this model in the unfinished project folder and decided to finish it.

I have used NASAs Marslander Phoenix as reference but I havent copy it entired.

I'll put on som other unneccesary bits and bolts that the Phoenix doesnt have just for fun!

More to come.

I downloaded a bunch of Nasa ref images a few weeks ago.
I plan on tackling them after I do a few more tutorials...

Where did you get them from? It'd nice to model something different after I've finished my swords and shield project


I like the detailing around the legs and spring. Was the spring an extruded spline?

No I used the spring that comes with Max and then converted it to a edit poly

Great!! many thanks will have a look at maybe doing some myself when I finally get home, stuck in sunny scotland at the moment working. Oooh its just started snowing.... hope my flight home doesnt get cancelled...
