Just going through the Audi A3 tutorial, using a different A3 so I don't go through it like a zombie. Even though I've been using Max on and off for the past 4-5 years, I've learnt so much in the past 5 days! Kudos on the tutorial set!

I've got a WW2 US GI helmet (M1) that I keep looking at and really want to finish off. Virtually done, need to stick the leather straps on the front and back, and then some decals to tidy it up.

I'm working on keeping myself together.. to seize the day and every access-able opportunity I can get my hands on. Trying to find more and more work, trying to learn and learn.. trying to not kill my cats.

Im working on sitting in my new desk chair.. its a bit odd. Its a ball chair. Its very funky.

I just finished a free palace interior tutorial. I just finished a ham, egg and cheese sandwich.

I am now working on writing this and in a moment I will be hitting submit reply.

Well I decided I fancied to do a little modeling, instead of unwrapping, so I started to look for castle references. I was going to go with Gravensteen castle in Belgium, but I found me some Hogwarts ref's.....

Good call. Hogwarts is actually Durham Cathedral about 11 miles from here. There are a good few references out there for it - look it up on google image search as well as www.durhamcathedral.co.uk I think

Ha, ha, excellent Olblue, sweet spot there. But having seen that, mines not exactly the same, but, hey this is 3D right? Im allowed extra detail and stuff. This was going to be a modelling play around, but Im liking it the more that I do.....

Check this out though....
Quote:
Acton's matchstick version of Hogwarts has been sold to an attraction in Spain called "The HOUSE OF KATMANDU". By the time the final building (the Clock Tower buidling) was finished it had taken Acton nearly three years to build, and it contains over a 602,000 matchsticks held together with 15 gallons of carpenter's wood glue. Hogwarts is Acton's largest matchstick model to date.

Had to add the pictures, as I saved the full web page as I normally do, but I cant find the site/page of these images, so I upped them.
