Pyamid Of Colour

This started out as a joke, one of my friends said that I tend not to use many bright colours, and he is correct, so I decided to do a little scene for him, and i remember this simple scene that i modeled ages ago.

So i applied some material spent about an hour tweaking, and came out with this, one thing to note is that all the cubes are completly white, the other colours on the cubes are done through reflections, final gather and global illumination.

Still think it might be lacking something not sure what though.



Any comments on improvements are welcomed.

maybe shove some incandescence of the materials up, really make em pop?

Thats initially how I did it, but they spheres/balls looked to flat then, so instead of using the incandescence to give off the light I used a combination of that and the irradesence, also addeda bit of ambient colour just to brighten them up at all, as there are no lights at all in this scene.

Here are some other versions, one with the incadescence right up just for your elbaz, I also tried adding glow but that didnt look good at all so i got rid of that.
