Hello all, heres what I'm working on at the moment. Got the basic shape modeled, few tweaks here and there and its time to start adding detail and so on, I'm no expert at modeling cars so bare with me .

Cheers, Jon.

Done some more work on the intake or whatever it is. There are lines connecting the intake, there not showing because of some bug, also I tried to minimise tri's as much as possible.

Added some chamfers to the side and a bit more detail, this is just to test if its nice and smooth, I will be reverting back to an old save and doing all this at a later time so it doesn't interfere with anything else.

Are you just modelling this on the fly? or are you working from reference images?

Looks like a good start, keep going.

If your refering to not seeing blueprints in the perspective shot thats because I use layers and have them hidden. I'm modeling from some great blueprints and the usual pictures. I will be modeling this until my stormbringer dvd comes, probably tomorrow, it will then be on hold till after that but I will finnish this. I may even jump between the two.

Two more renders before I go, refined the front topology and i've nearly finnished refining the rear topology. Theres still I triangle near the window frame, this will be deleted and joined with part of the wheel arch, think you can probably guess where.

Cheers.

Looking for some advice, should I cut away the hood including most of the fender now or should I leave it till I've modeled and chamfered the front? I'm asking because it looks like it might get messy later on if I don't. If you look at the real R8 and look how the panels go at the front.

I'm aware I might need some edge loops in at the front to keep the polys roughly the same size, leaving that till a bit later so it doesnt get messy when I start working on the back section.
