Rotor WIP

Hi everyone. I have been absolutely blown away by some of the things I have seen here so I am a bit timid about posting.

I have been teaching myself a little about modeling by checking out some of the tutorials available.

I have been doing the Rotor tutorial and thought I might as well just see what you think.


Let me know what you think. BTW I have very little idea about materials at the moment.

Nice start. It looks like the rotor ship to me

One thing I would advise though, is when saving out as a .jpg, when the compression option window pops up, dont add any smoothing at all, it makes your images look slightly blurrey. Other than that good job!

hahaha, yeah we have all made that mistake.

Looking good mate, it's a very underated tutorial that considering you get quite a complex ship out of it in the end

Well I continued with the tutorial of course I have been taking some liberties with the over all design.

I added the weapons although I had a tough time doing it. I like the design just the guns aren't right for the ship, at least that is my thought.

I get the feeling that the guns were added at the last minute, kind of like before the big race or something and they didn't have time to make them look pretty. The missiles seem to work well to me, but again they are color matched, and seem to flow with the overall design.
