GG Blimp

Started to model a blimp well more of practice blimp. Where are some mistakes whit the blade (i do not know the name of that part in English). It's based on other blimp design (c) Studio Foglio.

Seeing as how my vantage point of viewing a blimp is from the ground while its hundreds of feet in the air, I'd say this looks like a blimp to me. Gj.

It looks good. The only thing missing is the nacelle.

Looking good, for a decent render in max just do this. Put a plane under your model and position the camera so the plane covers the view. Place a skylight anywere above your model, doesn't realy matter, apply a white material to your object and apply max's standard gray to the plane. Set your renderer to mental ray and turn on final gather in the indirect illumination tab and render it out.

The funky shadowing on your model is to do with no plane under the model, happens to me if I dont put one there.

I second what addicted said. Though I would use vray instead of mental ray or even the default scanline render as I find it to be quicker than mental ray even when doing simple clay renders.

The model itself looks pretty sound. Could we see a full wireframe render? It dosnt seem like your skills are lacking, its looking good so keep working at it

addicted Thank you for advice, but unfortunately it i still have unwanted shadows i fink this problem could be solved whit another light, but i hate playing whit lights.

richard_cousins I ll put the wireframe images later. Also no vray.

Usualy the plane would be below the blimp and the skylight above, I don't know if it will make a difference but since your plane is above try putting the skylight below and rotating it to shine towards the bottom or the blimp. Never rendered the bottom of an object, give it a bash.

The first image plane is below the blimp and skylight above the second image i rotated the blimp by 180. Does a model size have a difference in this problem.
