Interior Scene

it's been a while since I have posted anything on the forum (not since I had a crack at doing a Nissan R32).

I have been busy creating new procedures at work and setting up our quantity surveying service.

I have gotten a fair way through with this project before I decided to post it. So the initial clay renders are non-existant.

Bear in mind that the windows and chairs are stand in obects at the moment (chairs from previous tutorial I did about architectural Visulization to get back into the modelling groove), and some things are not textured yet. Also final gather is set at draft and anti-aliasing is also set low. I am starting to come to grips with Mental Ray and hopefully manage some better texturing on the cavity slider doors.

As usual all critique is most welcome.

Nice one. That's really good, especially for a mental ray render.

Ah. Those chairs. I think a lot of folk are gonna be using those for the next year or so

Fear the glossiness.

Good start but might wanna tone down the gloss and reflections everywhere.

Doors are a bit over the top on reflect and gloss, floor just needs a wee tweak or two.

This was a weird comment. Not sure where you're heading with it.

As for your renders I find the lighting in the second one kind of odd. It looks a bit greenish as if the sun is tinted or the windows are tinted.

Not sure either Twiik. The outside ground colour is set at the default greyish. The windows I think have a very slight greenish tint as I have set the material to physical glass as opposed to the thin or solid geometry. Yep, I was using the Arch + Design Mental Ray material.

Good spotting I probably would not have picked that up for a while.
