arachnid warrior

inspired by a recent thread I thought I would try some organic modeling on an arachnid warrior. I have started of in max and will export into zbrush for extra detail before texturing (arghh) in photoshop. Its early days yet so don't expect too much.... anyhow as always opinions and advice are appreciated. Al

Cool idea man. Are you also thinking about rigging it?

ha, looking good.

If you plan to take this into zBrush then it may be worth unwrapping it in max first and then you could just paint the textures on in zBrush and export them to the UV's.

Looks Great Alrichards! Love that movie.

@Fluxity (and all), what would be the advantages of porting this into Zbrush. I'm still new to it, so I was wondering how it could help this model.

I loved the first movie!

I'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

i'm going to use zbrush to test out a render to texture. a high poly normal map over a low poly model. if it doesn't work then i will do additional work in max. will post up my results as i get them. oh and i will probably paint the textures in zbrush too.... its all just trying out new stuff really.
