APU, project I am trying to do

I know that I started a CRUX a while back, but I figured that the APU would be less complex. I will tackle the CRUX later. Here's what I have so far. But I do have one question: why are those chamfers looking so extremely dark and black?

Did you 'over chamfer'?

As in, did you 'cross the streams', err..., edges?

I zoom in very close
open the dialog box
increase until the edges are about half way between the other/original edges
apply and repeat
max 2009 (maybe 2008) has a segments option to sort of do this part semi-automatically
or at least easier
So, instead of repeating over 2 or 3 times, just give it 2 or 3 segments

Lol, gottcha! I didn't really check the dates. I was sort of lost at first when you said that, but I know what you are talking about now. My bad.

just set it so threads are ordered by last post time, that way you'll see the newer threads first above older threads

So anyway, I got to work today on the APU's central toe, but had to stop in the middle to go somewhere. I still have not finished part 1 yet, but I think I am about 1/3 of the way done. I am going to post what I have so far just in case there are any problems with what I already have done. It's better to point out problems before I really dive deep into the tutorial.
