Project Evangelion

Hello 3D Palace, this is my first post here

I'm working on my own Evangelion project during my free time, I'll not say much for now as there's nothing much to show.

A couple of drawings for R&D purposes to see how I can best portray the Evas before it hit 3 dimension.

I'm not familiar with Evangelion, but I can never get enough of robots. They have a cool stylized look to them. They look graceful and quick. Good luck!

Interesting redesigns of Unit 00 and Unit 01.

Have you been keeping up with the new Evangelion movies? They sound interesting. In the second movie, they're going to show some new Evas.

Agree drjustice0, this is also why I like this design, the "look" itself portrays "speed" and "flexibility".
The Japaneses are amazing indeed.

I only manage to catch the trailer that's all.

I haven't watched it yet. I'm still waiting for fansubs, but there are some impressions of it online.

I'm still pretty caught up in my work which I enjoy very much also.
I'll work on allocating good time for all my projects.

The design of the Eva-01 & 02 Head is really unique in my personal opinion though my favorite is the Eva-00 head design.
They manage to create the illusion of “Creature encased in technology” without making it look too “Gross”.

Throughout the modeling of the head, my number one priority is to make sure all edges, even the sharpest ones, are filleted to catch highlight even in the most unlikely situations.
I had been successful at maintaining the “Fillet perfect geometry” philosophy with this head.

I’ll try my best to maintain this philosophy throughout the rest of the body modeling process.

After all those time spend on modeling, texturing and weighting vertices to achieve good deformation, I’m proud to say I finally own an Evangelion Model !

Oh My God I’m going crazy, it so exciting !
Now I can play with it ! YEHHHHHH !

Seriously, all I like about 3D is the Playing/Posing & Rendering part, every other thing is just …. Ha ha ha! Oh my God I’m so happy !

I went to my favorite pasta place to celebrate my mini victory but I can’t stop thinking about playing with it !

One idea went through though, depicting the battle between Eva-01 & Bardiel.

Here’s a quick sketch I’ve drawn with all the pasta sauce photoshoped out ;p

I know I’m suppose to continue modeling the Eva-00 & 02 but thinking about that just kind of make me want to throw up, I don’t want to model anymore I just want to play with it ! I’ll do it when I do it ! Ha Ha Ha
