| | | Land Raider Helbrecht Pattern
In honour of the awesome table game Warhammer 40K I decide to post here the 3D modelling steps of my favourite Space Marine (Black Templar chapter) heavy vehicle: a new Land Raider named "Helbrecht Pattern".
It's a sort of modified Crusader version with twin-linked heavy flamer sponson in addition to the classical hurricane bolter and hull-mounted assault cannon.
Hope you enjoy!

Start with the left part of the chassis.
After modelling the main body and adding some details on lateral panels, I have prepared the front, lateral and top for the heavy armor pieces inserting.

That's looking really nice already, I reckon this one is going to turn out awesome!
I was beginning to think the Dreadnought was getting tired of fighting all by himself too!:P

| | | Second step:
always on left part of chassis, front, top and lateral armor plates, lights and black templar logos were added.
Also slightly improved render quality and resolution for better view of details.
Obviously your comments will be appreciated.

High, but I have to check it. Now I'm at work ... unfortunately.
However the main intention is to make a high quality model perhaps for commercial pourpose (I'm currently thinking about this possibility).

NIce model, be aware however that it might be tricky legally to sell models from Warhammer as you do not own the products.
I remember some time ago when a German(?) based company made a animation/ movie with Warhammer models and they was sued by GameWorkshop and had to cancel the movie, even though it was almost complete... They couldn't even give it out for free if I remember correctly...

yeah, I remember that too.
Pretty sad, really, but guess they leaped before they looked.
Geez, just change the name of units and call it "Conflict Mallet"...

Thanks for the warning ... I'm not a lawyer but my doubt refers to this kind of problem.
I'll inquire.
