I think I will post updates for two reasons, because both sides do make sense.

reason #1: Major updates
reason #2: I would like opinions, on how to do things, or what looks better.

anyways...... Here is an update and a concept sketch of the drive mechanism.

I apologize in advance for my poor artistic skill.

I like the design - did you lay it out as a spline and boolean union it?

I kinda went an easier route but I am glad you mentioned it cause I was wondering how to get the spines connected correctly.

I started with a cylinder, tube, and another cylinder. from there attaching, and extrude/bevel.

although I think I will try the union

Great wheel up 'till now... makes me want to see more and more... If this is the kind of level of detail you're after, this I really want to see!!! Keep up!

Okay just testing out a basic body. let me know what ya'll think, not sure how I want to tie the outer body together.

I am currently working on the drive system, once I get the main idea completed it should help iron out the main body. But so far I think this is the general direction I want to go.

I know you're taking a more mechanical minded route with this thing but I think you should still keep the ridiculously large exhaust pipes from the concept, they look cool.
