Ok so I admit it, there are no wips yet. Its not ZBrushes fault - it really does scare the ever loving shit out of me sadly because its interface is not what Im used to, however having that attitude I may as well then say that I only eat food that I can eat with one chopstick... Im going to persevere though - honestly.

So, I will show anything thats not horribly embarrasing - Im not an organic modeller and will not even pretend to be so. My interest is all gamedev / hard surface / asset based and I intend to push everything I can that way. As far as I am concerned MB is old and ZB is still pushing out the good features so I will push myself to using it as much as I can.

So, you want to help, chip in, drop advice, please do :) I will just do what I can in the meantime - whilst crapping myself ;)

First lesson I have learned today - the rational placement of detail still applies even if you are just trying to make a wall with some bloody chunks missing. This is going to be an experience, I can tell...

I'd like to learn ZBrush, but I don't even know where to start. I don't know anything about sculpting, real or digital.

Cris, I've been seeing a lot of hard surface sculpting being done in ZB so maybe you can start there where you're more comfy.
It looks like an app more suited with a nice scotch in hand.

C'mon, start posting some pics! It's not that bad, though I certainly admit the friggin UI takes some getting used to.

Among other things, one of the new features is Vector Displacement Maps.

The UI sure is crazy in zbrush... but once you get used to it, it works well. Will be watching this thread! Good luck! :)

Lean the UI first... thats all you need.. once that is done.. just start sculpting anything.. That is how i started!
